Agriculture and horticulture will play an increasingly important role in the UK as policies turn towards the strengthening of food security and the reduction of the carbon footprint used in both food production and procurement.

EPR was appointed by the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board to do the following work:
- a study of overseas buyers of UK wheat to determine what influence choice of supplier and assess perceptions of UK wheat
- consumer attitudes to the dairy industry
- a study of Halal meat products among ethnic minority communities
- research among dairy farmers to profile the industry, identify trends and determine information requirements
